A bird nest built with fiber-glass, can it hold its home tight?  In Ukraine, birds are adapting to drone warfare. Fiber optic cables, laid across the landscape of border cities, are being used to guide drones and resist electronic jamming. This synthetic material is now being repurposed by birds, who weave the discarded threads into their nests. A postwar, cross-species landscape is emerging, an ecology that shows the possibility of rebuilding and the resilience of life.
